Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Latinfo API and CLI. By creating an account or making an API request, you agree to these terms. If you are using Latinfo on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

Latinfo is operated by Carrera Haus E.I.R.L. (RUC 20615095037), Lima, Peru.

1. The Service

Latinfo provides API access to public tax registry data from Latin American government sources, starting with Peru's SUNAT padron reducido. The data is public government records. Latinfo does not claim ownership of the underlying data — we provide the infrastructure to query it.

2. Accounts and API Keys

• Accounts are created via GitHub OAuth.
• You are responsible for keeping your API key confidential.
• Do not share, sell, or transfer your API key.
• You are responsible for all usage under your key.
• One account per person or organization.

3. Acceptable Use

You may use Latinfo to build applications, query tax records, and for internal business use. You may not:

• Resell raw API responses as a competing data product.
• Attempt to extract the underlying dataset in bulk.
• Circumvent rate limits (rotating keys, multiple accounts).
• Use the service for fraud, identity theft, harassment, or illegal purposes.
• Use the data to make automated decisions with legal effect on individuals without human review.

4. Rate Limits and Pricing

• Free: 100,000 requests/day.
• Pro: 10,000,000 requests/month — $1/month.

Latinfo may throttle or block traffic that exceeds limits or threatens service availability. Rate limits may change with reasonable notice.

5. Payments

• Pro subscriptions are billed monthly via dLocal Go (a third-party payment processor).
• Latinfo does not store your payment card information.
• Cancel anytime. No refunds for partial months.
• Failed payments: your account downgrades to Free after 7 days.
• Prices may change with 30 days notice.

6. Service Availability

Latinfo is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uptime, availability, or uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with or without notice. We are not liable for losses caused by outages or service interruptions.

7. Data Accuracy

Data is sourced from SUNAT's padron reducido and updated daily. Latinfo is not SUNAT. Data reflects the most recent import, not real-time SUNAT systems. Data may contain errors present in the source. You are responsible for verifying information before using it in legal, financial, or regulatory decisions.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

8. Limitation of Liability

Latinfo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption. Our maximum aggregate liability is limited to fees you paid in the last 3 months (or $0 for free tier users).

9. Termination

• You may cancel at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms, non-payment, fraud, or legal requirements.
• Upon termination, your API key is revoked.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or notice on latinfo.dev.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Peru. Disputes are subject to the courts of Lima, Peru. We will attempt to resolve disputes informally first.
